About Our Rehome Program

From time to time, we find that we must find good homes for good dogs. Sometimes these dogs are from our breeding program and are being retired. They have blessed us with many miracles and we feel it is only fair to find a home for them where they can be number one, not one of numbers. While it breaks our heart, it is what we feel is for the best interest of the dog, to go into a home where they can be pampered, and doted on, treated as royalty.

On occassion, we have a pup returned because their owner can not keep them. This could be because of a loss of income, loss of home, or a change in schedule. We then step in and help with finding a forever home.

There is also the ones that just do not mature as we had hoped, and we feel they should not move forward for breeding.

Adopting an adult has its own challenges. While a puppy will adjust to a new home within days, an adult takes much longer. You must be willing to devote at least a minimum of one month to allow time for adjustment. There will be issues arise, just as with a pup, only different. But know in the end, an adult can offer so much. And we offer support and help in solving any problems that may arise.

Adoption Requirements

We are very careful where we place our adults. Temperament matches are a must, so we will ask you many questions to see if we have "a fit". Our top priority is to find the best home for our dogs. They are dogs we have raised and we love them very much. It is critical that we find the absolute best environment for them to live out their retirement years.

We prefer that you live within 150-200 miles of our home. If, for some reason the adoption does not work out, it is much easier to return the dog to us. That is required as we refuse to allow one of our dogs to ever enter a shelter situation.

Our Shilohs are to live as house companions. They are not to be kenneled outside or tethered to a dog house.

A fenced yard is preferred. However, we will consider someone without a fenced yard if they are experienced dog handlers.

We reserve the right to do a home check as well as requiring references. Adoption fees vary, please contact us

Pickup is in person as we will not ship adult Shilohs. It is much too stressful for them.

Available Breeding Female

Willow has become available to an approved home on a co-own only.  She was raised by us for the first six months and then went to live with new owners on a  co-own. They found it was best that Willow be returned after she had her pups. Willow is house broken, crate trained, has basic obedience training, and generally gets along with most dogs as long as she can be in charge. She is an excellent protection dog. She is slow to warm up to strangers. She was raised with a young boy, but is not used to small children so I would prefer that she go into an all adult home. She just finds living with us to be over stimulating with all of our dogs. She needs a quieter home with one or no other dogs.
Please contact us for terms on this beautiful girl.

Available: Storm

Storm is available to an approved home. He was originally looking for a home last Spring when we discovered he developed EPI.  We now have him stabilized and gaining weight, so he is once again looking for his forever home.
Storm is an incredibly loving dog, all he wants is to be by your side and please you.  He is crate trained, and has some basic obedience training. He has had limited access to our entire house, but does great in his area of three rooms.
We are looking for someone who will give this special needs boy a forever loving home.

UPDATE: Storm has been adopted pending application approval.
His new humans will give him all the best care, and a life full of love and kindness.
Congratulations Storm!
